Shown here in Floyd's studio, the privately-commissioned Air Supremacy was completed over a period of 4 years and delivered to its new owner's home in New York State on July 4, 2002.

Floyd is shown hard at work on the detailing. (Hover over the image to see a view of wing placement.)

Air Supremacy is depicted pulling a Northern Small-mouth Bass out of the water.

The water and bass are carved from a massive block of Maple burl, and the pedestal is made of highly-figured, ribbon grain Cherry with a lacquer finish.

The entire bird is supported by a 1/2" X 1/2" steel rod running up the right leg.
